To become a security agent with S.H.A.M.E. or in Los Angeles County, you must meet the licensing requirements set by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). You must complete a total of 40 hours of training to be fully licensed as an unarmed security guard. 

• Step 1 (Pre-License): 8 hours of training including Power to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force.
• Step 2 (Within 30 Days of Hire): 16 hours of mandatory courses such as Public Relations, Observation & Documentation, and Liability/Legal Aspects.
